A Musical Angel | Enya

Angelic and divine are the words that come to my mind to best describe Enya and her music! Majestic, heavenly, flowing are other words to name a few.

I've been a huge fan ever since the 'Memory of Trees' album, then was introduced the albums that preceded and those that followed.

What attracted me to Enya's music is how simple and elegant yet so personal it is. I feel I'm floating on clouds or walking on water. Very close to becoming an angel myself!

She is no doubt a genius and genuine person and musician, for compared to other musicians, they maybe brilliant as well but a little too technical for me. #Enya invokes the soul of #music with her voice, her composing, and lyrics assisted by Roma Ryan. She is Ireland's bestselling solo artist, and second best selling artist after U2 with an estimated an estimated 75 million records worldwide.

Her music has elements of New Age, Celtic, classical, church, and folk music, yet still very unique to her. She has sung in ten languages.

She was of course part of many movies music and soundtrack like "The Lord Of The Rings" and "Green Card". Many musicians and band borrowed from her absolute genius like The Fugees "Ready or Not" who did not give her credit at first but eventually did so. she appeared on Sinead O'Connor's debut album "The Lion and the Cobra", reciting Psalm 91 in Irish on the song "Never Get Old".

For the sake of this article I wanted to create my top ten Enya list; impossible!

A true artist by heart and a beautiful spirit, which is why she manages to lift us up with her every time her voice and music tickle our hungry ears!
